DANVILLE — The Veterans Affairs Illiana Health Care System will have a program to recognize the 40th anniversary of the Vietnam War cease fire. The program is set for 2 p.m. today in the Social Activities room of Building 104.
The keynote speaker will be Danville Mayor Scott Eisenhauer. Refreshments will be served immediately after the program.
Golden K to hear speaker
Jean Land, Carle nutritionist, will speak about “Nutrition Notes for Seniors” to the Danville Kiwanis Golden K at 2 p.m. today at CRIS Healthy-Aging Center, 309 N. Franklin St.
Cover crop workshop set
Lake Vermilion Water Quality Coalition and others are sponsoring a Cover Crop Workshop from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today in the Vermilion County Farm Bureau Auditorium at 1905 US Route 150

Legion to host bingo night
American Legion Post 210 will host its bingo night every today. Doors open to the public at 5:30 p.m.

Danville Barbershop Chorus will have guest night at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Bethel Lutheran Church, 901 W. Fairchild St.

Elks to serve catered meal
The Danville Elks Lodge 332 will serve its weekly catered meal at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the lodge, 421 N. Vermilion St. Reservations must be received by noon Tuesday. Price: $11.
Generations will cater the meal, which includes Swiss steak, mashed potatoes, broccoli with cheese sauce, cranberry salad and Italian cream cake. Call the lodge at 442-0145.
Moose to serve burgers
The Loyal Order of Moose Fraternity will serve hamburgers or chicken strips from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the lodge, U.S. Route 150.
