Police, Fire Reports



Two men arrested for disorderly conduct in the 1700 block of Jefferson Street, Tilton. One also was charged with resisting arrest and obstructing justice.

Accidents involving tickets or injuries include:

April 15, 5:12 p.m. — At North Vermilion Street and Winter Avenue involving Eddie Valdez, 18, of the 900 block of Myers Street; Randall Holman, 61, of Danville; and Grant Lamar, 18, of Danville. Valdez was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

Wednesday, 6:25 a.m. — At Voorhees Street and Koehn Drive involving Darin Jarling, 44, of Catlin, and Angelia Chamberlain, 34, of Hoopeston. Jarling was cited for improper backing.

Wednesday, 11:54 a.m. — In the 600 block of South Gilbert Street, involving Gary Hurst, 47, of Georgetown, and Audrey Stickler, 73, of Chrisman. Hurst was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

Thursday, 4:35 p.m. — At Main and College streets involving Makenzie Pankey, 21, of the 2500 block of East Main Street, and Justin Troxel, 28, of Tilton. Pankey was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

Friday, 1:51 p.m. — At U.S. Route 150 and Lucas Lane, Oakwood, involving Justin Moody, 33, of the 1800 block of Perrysville Road, and Barbara Spencer, 56, of Oakwood. Moody was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

Friday, 4:05 p.m. — At North Collett and East Voorhees streets involving Seth Miller, 17, of Covington, Ind., and Kristen Weir, 42, of Paris. Miller was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and driving without insurance.

Saturday, 10:36 a.m. — At Grant and West Center streets involving Linda Divan, 60, of the 1100 block of Grant Street. She was cited for improper backing.

Firefighters responded to the following calls:

Saturday, 9:10-9:22 a.m. — A carbon monoxide check at 111 Dawn Ave.

Saturday, 9:54-10:16 a.m. — An overheated machine at 70 Waltz Creek Drive.

Saturday, 1:19-1:35 p.m. — A medical call in the 200 block of North California Avenue.

Saturday, 1:42-1:49 p.m. — A burning investigation at 3556 Ferndale Drive.
