DANVILLE — Here’s a look at recent law enforcement calls:



A man arrested for criminal trespassing at Fairchild and Moore streets.

Trespassign at Campbell Lane and Wakley Drive.

Disorderly conduct in the 200 block of South Forrest Street.

Disorderly conduct in the 400 block of Robinson Street.

Attempted burglary and property damage reported at Meade Park, 20 Oregon St.

Forgery at Village Mall, 2917 N. Vermilion St.


A man arrested for aggravated fleeing/eluding police and driving after suspension at North Vermilion and Clay streets.

A man arrested for threatening a public official, interfering with a domestic battery report and domestic battery in the 1100 block of Chandler Street.

Battery in the 800 block of Johnson Street.

A man arrested for resisting arrest and criminal damage to property in the 700 block of Grant Street.

A wallet reported stolen along North Vermilion Street.

Retail theft at Buffalo Wild Wings, 3101 N. Vermilion St.

An Apple Ipod stolen in the 800 block of North Grant Street.

Burglary in he first block of Lake Street.

A man arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia at Jackson and Cherry streets.

Domestic battery in the first block of Columbus Street.

Property damage, aggravated battery and domestic battery reported in the 100 block of North State Street.


Property damage at the Boys and Girls Club, 850 N. Griffin St.

Vermilion County


Theft in the 1000 block of West Penn Street, Hoopeston.

Burglary along County Road 600E, Fithian.

Theft reported at First Bank and Trust, Catlin.

Accidents involving tickets or injuries include:

Wednesday, 10:20 a.m. At North Vermilion and Seminary streets involving Rex Birt, 57, of the 400 block of South Street, and Walter Jordan, 64, of Cayuga, Ind. Jordan was cited for driving with a suspended/revoked driver’s license.

Wednesday, 3:10 p.m. At 618 N. Vermilion St. involving John Twork, 86, of the 3100 block of Cobblestone Lane, and Kaylynn Applegate, 18, of Danville. Twork was cited for failure to yield and driving without insurance.

Wednesday, 8:23 p.m. At Voorhees and North Vermilion streets involving James Anderson, 39, of the 300 block of Love Street, and Thomas Huskisson, 42, of Danville. Anderson was cited for failure to yield and driving without insurance.

Firefighters responded to the following calls:

Wednesday, 9:41-9:50 a.m. A medical call in the first block of Cronkhite Avenue.

Thursday, 12:02-12:44 a.m. A medical call on Kentucky Avenue.
