DANVILLE — Here’s a look at recent law enforcement calls:



Retail theft at Walmart Supercenter, 4101 N. Vermilion St.


Domestic battery in the 400 block of Harmon Street.

Theft at Heath Automotive, 1101 E. Fairchild St.

A man arrested for possession of a controlled substance and obstructing justice at Plum and Williams streets.

Disorderly conduct in the 1300 block of West Williams Street.

Retail theft at Circle K, 401 W. Main St.

Theft of fuel at Mobil Super Pantry, 1212 N. Bowman Ave.


Possession of drug paraphernalia at Williams and Franklin streets.

Theft in the 900 block of Wakley Street.

Vermilion County


Battery in the 300- block of Dellwood Street, Tilton.


Property damage in the 200 block of Woodyard Street, Georgetown.

A woman arrested for disorderly conduct (making a false 911 call) and forgery in the first block of Lawndale Drive, Tilton.


Property damage in the first block of Arlington Drive.

Accidents involving tickets or injuries include:

Wednesday, 8:13 a.m. At International Place and Lynch Road involving Jackie Burrell, 63, of Hendersonville, S.C., and Kerri Rollins, 44, of the 1200 block of Sheridan Street. Burrell was cited for failure to yield while Rollins was cited for driving without insurance.

Wednesday, 1:20 p.m. At Seminary and North Vermilion streets involving Kenneth Sanders, 55, of the 1100 block of North Bowman Avenue, and Robert Clem, 81, of Hoopeston. Sanders was cited for failure to yield.

Wednesday, 4:55 p.m. At North Bowman Avenue and Crestview Avenue involving Nicholas Bennett, 18, of Cayuga, Ind., and Jesse Lesure, 37, of Danville. Bennett was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

Firefighters responded to the following calls:

Wednesday, 12:33-12:42 p.m. A medical call in the first block of Cronkhite Avenue.

Wednesday, 6:32-6:43 p.m. A medical call in the 200 block of North Bowman Avenue.

Wednesday, 7:09-7:21 p.m. A medical call in the 900 block of Jewell Street.

Wednesday, 11:56 p.m.-12:15 a.m. A medical call in the 1500 block of Valley View.

Thursday, 6:07-6:21 a.m. A private alarm at Veterans Affairs Illiana Health Care System, 1900 E. Main St.
