Ten residents, including former state Sen. Judy Myers who lives in that area, asked the council “to keep the beauty” of the residential and natural area and have the manufactured home removed.
The Millers applied for and received a special-use permit in March/April 2008 to place a manufactured home on the property while they worked to build a new permanent home on the property.
A condition was placed on that special-use permit that it would expire in five years, because the petitioner had indicated the new permanent house would be built in that timeframe.
Nothing had occurred in those five years.
n Two alley vacation requests: one for Watchfire Signs for an alley vacation adjacent to 1015 E. Maple St. and the second for a north-south alley between North Logan Avenue and Kimber Street adjacent to 412 N. Sheridan St. for Presence Hospitals PRV.
n A $53,369 engineering agreement with TREKK Design Group for analysis and a northwest pump station infiltration and inflow reduction plan. The city has determined the need to replace the pump station on the west side of Denmark Road. Funding is coming from the sanitary sewer fund.
n A $160,734 contract with RLI Insurance Co. for fleet liability insurance for Danville Mass Transit.
n A $25,000 agreement for professional engineering services for the H&L Landfill with Shaw Environmental, Inc.
n Prohibiting parking at various points along North Vermilion Street, related to the Vermilion Street roadway improvements north of the downtown.
n Purchasing right-of-way for the Lincoln Park shared-use path project.
