DANVILLE — Here’s a look at recent law enforcement calls:

Danville

Sunday:

Theft in the 700 block of Douglas Street.

Monday:

Domestic disturbance in the 700 block of Bryan Avenue.

Disorderly conduct in the 400 block of North Griffin Street.

Tuesday:

Theft in the 100 block of Pennsylvania Avenue.

A woman arrested for possession of a controlled substance and retail theft in the 3700 block of North Vermilion Street.

Aggravated battery in the 900 block of Fowler Avenue.

Theft in the 700 block of East Main Street.

Theft at Ellsworth Park.

Wednesday:

Two women arrested for domestic battery in the 100 block of Tennessee Avenue.

A man arrested for possession of stolen property at East Main and Bismarck streets.

Vermilion County

Tuesday:

Theft in the 300 block of East West Street, Georgetown.

Theft in the 200 block of West West Street, Georgetown.

Property damage in the 6200 block of U.S. Route 136, Potomac.

Domestic battery in the 100 block of Brent Street, Tilton.

Wednesday:

Burglary along County Road 3550N, Rossville.

A man arrested for possession of a controlled substance in the 1300 block of Woods Street, Westville.

Aggravated assault and unlawful use of a weapon in the 300 block of Spelter.

Accidents involving tickets or injuries include:

Sunday, 8:38 a.m. — At North Vermilion Street and Winter Avenue involving Naomi Johnson, 21, of the 800 block of West Oak Street, and Miranda Skimehorn, 22, of Danville. Johnson was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and driving without insurance.

Firefighters responded to the following calls:

Tuesday, 8:57-9:15 a.m. — An electrical short at 521 Porter St.

Tuesday, 1:14-1:36 p.m. — An illegal burning at 306 Franklin St.

Tuesday, 1:22-1:39 p.m. — Alarm malfunction caused a false alarm at 1610 Edgewood Drive.

Tuesday, 1:25-1:47 p.m. — Alarm malfunction caused a false alarm at 21 N. Vermilion St.

Tuesday, 5:41-5:52 p.m. — An illegal burning at 515 Hazel St.

Tuesday, 6:47-6:57 p.m. — Alarm malfunction caused a false alarm at 1610 Edgewood Drive.

  • Police investigate shooting report

    DANVILLE — City police investigated reports of a shooting in the 1000 block of Moore Street about 6:30 p.m.

    Preliminary reports had as many as three people with gunshot wounds. Ambulances were called to assist two of the people with wounds to the leg and one with a chest wound.

    The investigation continued Friday evening.
