Boil order issued for Henning Road residents

DANVILLE — Aqua Illinois, Inc. reports a morning water main break located at the intersection of U.S. Route 150 and Henning Road west of Danville, has resulted in a boil water advisory only for Aqua customers located along and west of Henning Road.

Do not drink the water without boiling it first.

Aqua is issuing this precautionary boil water advisory in accordance with Illinois Environmental Protection Agency regulations. IEPA requires that acceptable bacteria sample results be obtained from sets of samples collected in the location of the outage before the boil water notice can be lifted. These samples will take 24 hours for results after being collected.

Once the sample results confirm the water can be used for human consumption, Aqua will provide a follow up notification.

Bring all water to a boil, let it boil for one minute, and let it cool before using, or use bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and food preparation until further notice. Boiling kills bacteria and other organisms that might be present in the water.

Please contact Dave Cronk, production manager, at 442-3063, Ext. 58131 if you have any questions.
