Congressman John Shimkus is now accepting entries for the 2013 Congressional Art Competition. The contest is open to high school students in the 15th Congressional District. Entries are due by April 26.
Acceptable mediums include: paintings, drawings, collages, prints, photographs, computer-generated art and mixed media. Artwork must be two-dimensional, no larger than 28 inches by 28 inches by four inches including the frame, cannot weigh more than 15 pounds, and be original in content.
Finalists will be posted on the Shimkus’ Facebook site for voting by the public.
Entries must be accompanied by a Student Information and Release Form, which includes a release by the student, art teacher and a parent.
