DANVILLE — Here’s a look at recent law enforcement calls:

Danville

Tuesday:

Property damage in the 2700 block of Townway Street.

A man arrested for unlawful interference with public utility service in the 800 block of Clarence Street.

Property damage in the 800 block of Johnson Street.

Disorderly conduct in the 300 block of Lynch Road.

Possession of cannabis at English and Jackson streets.

Disorderly conduct in the 1000 block of Texas Avenue.

A man arrested for retail theft at County Market, 2 E. Main St.

Trespassing in the 1200 block of North Vermilion Street.

Burglary in the 500 block of Harvey Street.

Wednesday:

A man arrested for telephone harassment, disorderly conduct and harassment through electronic media in the 1100 block of Oak Street.

Vermilion County

Tuesday:

Burglary in the 2200 block of Kickapoo Park Road.

Theft along County Road 2430E.

A man arrested for aggravated assault in the 100 block of Poland Road.

Vehicle theft in the 100 block of Market Street, Sidell.

Attempted burglary in the 500 block of Brown Road.

Wednesday:

Property damage in the 100 block of West Main Street, Westville.

  • Police investigate shooting report

    DANVILLE — City police investigated reports of a shooting in the 1000 block of Moore Street about 6:30 p.m.

    Preliminary reports had as many as three people with gunshot wounds. Ambulances were called to assist two of the people with wounds to the leg and one with a chest wound.

    The investigation continued Friday evening.

  • Hoopeston Area school staff to see insurance rates increase

    Hank Hornbeck, superintendent of Hoopeston Area schools, informed board members Thursday that staff health insurance rates would increase 5.99 percent from the previous year. Health insurance would remain with Health Alliance.
