COVINGTON, Ind. —
Fountain County Council members heard an update Monday on the new Emergency Medical Services building.
“Things seem to be coming along well,” commissioner Walt Wilson said. All of the plumbing and heating is in. Drywall is being installed.
“It should be done by the end of October or mid-November,” Wilson said. “I am really enthused about this. We are getting paramedics. We have a good ambulance system.”

Board approves budget
North Vermillion School Board members approved the district’s 2013 budget.
It includes $5,290,023 in the general fund; $1,277,554 in debt service fund; $556,000 in transportation; $500,000 in rainy day; $1,923,500 in capital projects; and $311,090 in bus replacement.
Board members hired Andrea Potter and Kara Porter, Title I teachers, for the after school program; Donna Conrad, Title I teacher assistant for the after school program; Lyndsey Cummings, girls 5/6 basketball coach; and Paul Hamilton, boys 5/6 basketball coach.
