Garden contest deadline moves to June 23

DANVILLE — The nomination deadline for the Make It Bloom! gardening contest has been changed to June 23.

Make It Bloom! is a gardening contest divided into three categories – individual homes; businesses, churches and organizations; and three or more gardens in a block.

Nomination forms may be obtained at the local gardening centers, floral shops, the U of I Extension Service, the city of Danville, WDAN, Vermilion County Museum, Danville Public Library, Schroeder’s Drive-In, Bob Jones’ Dairy Queen, Shick’s and other locations.

Completed nominations may be mailed to: Make It Bloom!, P. O. Box 1944, Danville, IL 61834-1944, or returned to any of the above locations.

The awards ceremony will be at 10 a.m. July 27 at CrossRoads Christian Church.
