DANVILLE — Here’s a look at recent law enforcement calls:



Theft in the 500 block of Porter Street.


Disorderly conduct in the 1000 block of North Franklin Street.


Deceptive practice in the first block of East Roselawn Avenue.

A woman arrested for domestic battery and theft in the first block of Grand Circle.

Theft in the 1100 block of James Place.

Home invasion and aggravated discharge of a firearm reported in the 1000 block of Grant Street.

Robbery reported at Williams and Penn streets.

Deceptive practice in the first block of East Roselawn Avenue.


Deceptive practice in the 400 block of Sherman Street.

Vermilion County


Theft along County Road 2000N, Fithian.

Battery in the 200 block of North Park Street, Fairmount.

A man arrested for unlawful restraint reported in the 200 block of East Lincoln Street, Hoopeston.

A woman arrested for aggravated battery in the 300 block of West Main Street, Hoopeston.

Burglary and property damage along County Road 600N, Georgetown.

Accidents involving tickets or injuries include:

Tuesday, 5:04 p.m. — On Delong Road near Henning Road involving Shannon Gillespie, 43, of the 1200 block of Grant Street. Gillespie was arrested for DUI and charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

Wednesday, 8:58 a.m. — At Main and Illinois streets involving Alexander Moore, 20, of Hoopeston, and Brittany Newell, 31, of Danville. Moore was cited for driving with a suspended/revoked driver’s license, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to give information at the accident scene and false reporting.

Wednesday, 4:09 p.m. — At East Main Street and Park Avenue involving Darrin Blakeny, 21, of the 500 block of East Roselawn Avenue, and Gregory Anding, 35, of the 1100 block of North Franklin Street. Blakeny was cited for failure to yield while Anding as cited for driving with a suspended/revoked driver’s license and driving without insurance.

Wednesday, 4:17 p.m. — In the 3200 block of Brunswick Lane involving Jeremy Caudell, 21, of the 1300 block of East English Street, and Heather Christensen, 33, of Danville. Caudell was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and driving without insurance.
