WILLIAMSPORT, Ind. —
The Warren County School Board reviewed summer construction plans for all buildings in the district.
“We are going to renovate all restrooms and locker rooms,” Superintendent Ralph Shrader said. Most of the facilities had not been updated since the buildings were built, he said. New lighting will be installed in most classrooms.

Board discusses projects
The North Vermillion School Board discussed summer projects with representatives of Odle McGuire Shook of Indianapolis.
Ben Rawlins, landscape architect with OMS, discussed the parking situation at the high school. The board would like to accommodate more parking at sporting events.
Rawlins will look into the possibility of turning the grassy area between the maintenance shop and the north-side parking lot into parking and the feasibility of using the tennis courts for parking.
Gerrard Skibinski with OMS presented plans for the inside and outside of the elementary school. Plans call for new concessions, roofing and teachers’ lounge.
John Oberlies with OMS went over the mechanical aspects for both buildings, and Debra Sparks of OMS went over the floor coverings and wall colors.
In other business, the board hired Kendra Chobanov-McCann as the Title I teacher for the rest of the year.
The Warren County School Board will meet at 4 p.m. EDT March 13 at the administration building in Williamsport.
