Incidents reported to police include:



Burglary to a garage in the unit block of Henderson Street.

Burglary in the unit block of Nicklas Avenue.

Criminal trespass/theft in the 1200 block of Saratoga.

Burglary to a vehicle in the 1300 block of East Main Street.


Theft of two bicycles in the 400 block of Chandler Street.

Theft at Denmark and Old Ottawa roads.

Male and female arrested in connection with domestic battery/obstructing a police officer in the 1000 block of Campbell Lane.

Burglary /criminal damage in the 800 block of East Main Street.

Burglary in the 1200 block of East Main Street.

Criminal damage in the 900 block of Wakely Street.


Attempted burglary in the 1200 block of East Main Street.

Burglary at North Ridge Middle School, 1619 N. Jackson Street.

Burglary at BP gas station, 379 Lynch Drive.

Vermilion County


Male arrested in connection with aggravated domestic battery in the 100 block of West Second Street in Rankin.

Theft in the 200 block of East West Street.

Burglary to a vehicle in the 300 block of North Iroquois Street in Rankin.


Criminal damage reported at the Sidell Reporter, 114 Market St.

Domestic battery in the 1000 block of South Ross Township.

Accidents involving tickets or injuries include:

Thursday, 12:10 p.m.At South Buchanan and Commercial streets involving Crystal R. Wade, 49, of Westville, and Peggy A. Lambert, 72, of Catlin. Wade was ticketed for an improper turn.

Thursday, 12:35 p.m.At Lynch and East Voorhees streets involving Robert W. Wampler, 40, of Covington, Ind., and Kalin C. Rush, 21, of Covington, Ind. Wampler was ticketed for improper overtaking on the right.

Thursday, 3:13 p.m.In the 1200 block of North Vermilion Street involving Chelsea L. Grubb, rural Danville, and Michael R. Sandlin, 16, of Westville. Grubb was ticketed for failure to yield at a private drive.

Thursday, 10:30 p.m.At 400 East and 200 North roads involving Jeremy A. Johnson, 33, of Fairmount. Johnson was ticketed for operating an uninsured vehicle and failure to reduce speed.

Friday, 5:52 a.m. — In the 1200 block of East Voorhees Street involving Denzel C. Smith, 17, of the 1200 block of Koehn Drive, and Michael W. Clawson, 53, of Covington, Ind. Smith was ticketed for failure to reduce speed.

Saturday, 11:25 a.m.In the 500 block of North Hazel Street and Davis Street involving Trey D. Williams, 17, of the 600 block of North Beard Street, and Claudina Cunningham, 39, of Danville. Williams was ticketed for failure to reduce speed.
