Cruisers set next meeting

The Corvette Cruisers of Illinois invites all Illinois and Indiana corvette owners to join its next members meeting.

The group will meet for supper at 5 p.m. Thursday at No. 1 Hibachi Grill and Buffet, 4117 N. Vermilion St. The meeting will start at 6 p.m.

Boosters sell flower cards

The Instrumental Music Boosters at Danville High School will be selling Danville Gardens flower cards as a fundraiser for the boosters.

The Danville Gardens cards are $10 each for $10 worth of merchandise at any Danville Gardens location.

For more information contact any instrumental student at DHS or call Deb Hill at 446-4829. The group will accept orders through June 1.

Railroad repairs begin soon

The CSXT Railroad has informed the city of Danville that repairs to various railroad crossings are scheduled for April. All of the repairs will require road closures for approximately five days. The following roads at their crossings with the CSXT are scheduled for closures:

--Bowman Avenue beginning April 15

--Voorhees beginning April 22

--Griffin beginning April 22

--Liberty Lane beginning April 29

--Vine Street beginning April 29

Motorists are advised to anticipate delays and should seek alternative routes throughout the duration of the repairs. For more information, call the CSX Railroad at 442-0126.

Men’s chorus to perform

The Danville Barbershop Chorus will present its annual spring show, “Enjoy the Holidays,” at 3 and 7 p.m. Saturday, April 13, at the Danville Area Community College Bremer Theater. The chorus will perform Easter songs, Christmas melodies, songs of the summer season as well as some patriotic anthems.

Appearing in the second half of the show will be the Red Coats of the North Ridge Middle School. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased from any member, by calling 759-7367 or at the door.


Register kindergarteners

Bismarck-Henning Elementary will host kindergarten pre-registration from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 22 through April 26.
