Healthy kiosk hits store

Christmas home tour nears

The Danville Area Tour of Homes, Chittick Family Eye Care and Illini ATV World will present their annual holiday Christmas Tour from 2-6 p.m. Dec. 9.

The tour will feature four decorated homes. Tickets: $15 per person. Ticket locations: Berry’s Lawn & Garden Center, Charlotte’s, Chittick Family Eye Care, Creative Designs, Dillman’s Family Eye Care Associates, Rabbittown Antiques and Artisan, Rustic Charm and Shick’s Office Supply.

Masons to present play

The Danville Masonic Lodge will present the fifth annual Christmas play, “Grandpa Hangs the Holly,” at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, at the Masonic Center, 109 W. North St.

The play features an inspiring message. For details or tickets, call the Masonic Center at 446-7620. Cost is $10 for the matinee and $12 for the evening performance. Refreshments will be served after the evening performance.


Décor contest planned

The Covington Coffeenian Organization will sponsor its 26th annual holiday decorating contest. Residents are encouraged to decorate the exterior of their homes to support community spirit and a holiday tradition.

Homes within the Covington city limits will be automatically considered. Homes outside city limits, within a two-mile radius, will need to pre-register by calling (765) 793-4401 to be considered.

Judging will take place Dec. 9 through Dec. 12. Winners will be announced the week of Dec. 16, and awards will be presented.
