DANVILLE — The David S. Palmer Arena has a busy lineup of events coming up.
“Normally our busy season winds down at the end of March,” arena general manager Peter Blackmon said in a press release.
“This year our schedule through the rest of the year is gearing up to be pretty hectic. April marks a crazy beginning to what is quickly becoming a busy ‘off-season,’” Blackmon said. “If there isn’t something for you in the next few months here at the arena … check your pulse.”
A much talked about event coming up at 5 p.m. May 18 and at 10:45 a.m. May 19, with tickets going on sale April 1, is the Duck Dynasty event at the arena.
Tickets to see Jase and Si, stars of A&E’s Duck Dynasty, live at the arena will be available for purchase starting at 10 a.m. Monday. Tickets are $30.
For tickets, visit the arena’s box office or the arena’s website at www.palmerarena.com or call (877) 772-5425.
Part of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Kennekuk Environmental Education Center.
The event is sponsored by Cellular One.
Cellular One of East Central Illinois will run contests twice weekly until May 16 to give away Duck Dynasty merchandise. By entering each contest, entrants are automatically entered to win the grand prize that includes two VIP meet-and-greet passes to the Duck Dynasty event on May 18, two shirts, two hats and more. The total prize package is worth more than $400.
The grand prize winner will be drawn on May 16. The contests will be announced on Cellular One’s Facebook page twice a week. Stay tuned for more details about Jase and Si’s visit to Cellular One.
