COVINGTON, Ind. —
The Purdue University and University of Illinois Extension, Bi-State Ag Program group are hosting the Crop Water Management Conference Jan. 24 at the Beef House Restaurant.
The conference is for farmers and individuals interested in irrigation and drainage issues. The conference starts at 9:15 a.m. EST, with registration starting at 8:45 a.m. EST.
The morning topics include: groundwater availability and legal responsibility; irrigation and more. Following the buffet lunch, topics include: drainage methods; and two stage ditch: implementation and evaluation,
Farmers wanting to receive credit toward their private license will need to take part in the morning irrigation program through lunch.
The cost for both the program and buffet lunch is $20, payable at the door. An additional fee of $10 is required to earn Indiana Private Applicator Recertification Program, Certified Crop Advisor (4.5 S&W) credits or Indiana Commercial Pesticide Applicator credits.
