Armed robbery, battery reported on Fairchild

---- — DANVILLE — Danville Police are looking for two male suspects involved in an armed robbery Wednesday.

According to police spokesman Josh Campbell, a female victim was walking with another female eastbound on Fairchild Street from the BP gas station at Fairchild and Vermilion streets at 6:40 p.m.

The victim was approached by two male black subjects in dark clothing, thin build and standing between 5-foot 6-inches tall to 5-foot 9-inches tall. They were possibly high school age.

The female victim was reportedly hit by one of the suspects. Then one of the males reportedly displayed a handgun and demanded money.

The other female was able to get away and the two males took off on foot southbound on Jackson Street.
