The Grants Committee, comprised of seven Foundation board of trustee members and two community volunteers, conducted a review of each application and personally visited and met with organizations under consideration for grants.
This year, the committee awarded $85,331 to 27 regional nonprofit agencies that serve a broad range of community needs. The committee noted that grants ranged from $600 to $7,500 to support the arts, health and human services, universal accessibility, education and preservation, among others.
The Community Foundation of East Central Illinois holds almost $15 million in funds and distributes nearly $1 million each year through grants to non-profit organizations and scholarship recipients in its service area that includes. For more information, visit www.cfeci.org.
