DANVILLE — Here’s a look at recent law enforcement calls:



Burglary in the first block of East Liberty Lane.


Battery at Walnut and Center streets.

Financial identity theft in the first block of Grand Circle.

Deceptive practice in the 3100 block of East Main Street.

A woman arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting an officer at the Public Safety Building, 2 E. South St.

A man arrested for retail theft and criminal trespassing at Walmart Supercenter, 4101 N. Vermilion St.

Garage burglary in the 700 block of Chandler Street.

Retail theft at County Market, 2 E. Main St.

Deceptive practice in the 200 block of Edwards Street.

Vermilion County


A man arrested for disorderly conduct along County Road 130E, Homer.

Accidents involving tickets or injuries include:

Monday, 2:54 p.m. — At South Gilbert and Fourth streets involving Wyatt Zimmerman, 69, of Tilton, and Lauren Myers, 17, of Georgetown. Zimmerman was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

Tuesday, 10:48 a.m. — At Illinois Route 1 and Spelter involving Nakita McClain, 21, of Tilton, and John McBride, 43, of Danville. McClain was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

Tuesday, 1:32 p.m. — At Seminary Street and North Bowman Avenue involving Amber Barrett, 28, of the 100 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, and Mark Ames, 51, of Danville, who was driving a City of Danville vehicle. Barrett was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

Firefighters responded to the following calls:

Tuesday, 10:09-10:21 a.m. — A stove fire at 1009 E. Fairchild St.

Tuesday, 10:23-10:45 a.m. — A carbon monoxide check at 303 N. Hazel St.

Tuesday, 11:22-11:41 a.m. — A back hoe fire at Avenue B and Cunningham Avenue.

Tuesday, 11:41-11:43 a.m. — A false alarm at Menards, 36 E. West Newell Road.

Tuesday, 11:45-11:52 a.m. — A false alarm at Danville Care Center, 1703 N. Bowman Ave.

Tuesday, 12:15-12:28 p.m. — A medical call in the first block of Columbus Street.

Tuesday, 4:13-4:30 p.m. — A natural gas call at 714 Douglas St.

Tuesday, 5:17-5:32 p.m. — A false alarm at 361 Lynch Drive.

Tuesday, 8:02-8:49 p.m. — A dryer fire at 100 W. Fairchild St.

Tuesday, 9:37-9:49 p.m. — A carbon monoxide check at 101 Harvey St.

Wednesday, 1:49-2:06 a.m. — A medical call in the first block of East Harrison Street.

Wednesday, 4:32-5:14 a.m. — A broken sprinkler line at 3104 Brookstone Drive.
