Meijer starts hiring process

---- — DANVILLE — The new Meijer store, expected to open the second week of November, is hiring for various positions.

The opening of each new Meijer store represents at least 250 full- and part-time jobs.

There are openings available in all departments including the grocery department, meat and bakery departments, deli department, utility clerk, general merchandise department, cashier and service department, cake decorators and pharmacy technicians, according to a company press release.

Employees can expect: 10 percent team member discount, paid training, job diversity, weekly paycheck, flexible schedule, health coverage options and opportunities for promotion.

Meijer leaders will begin conducting phone interviews this month. Candidates who are selected to continue in the interview process based on these phone interviews will be called back for scheduled interviews to be conducted at an off-site location.

No walk-in applicants will be accepted.
