The cause of a Thanksgiving night fire at the Oaklawn Inn remains under investigation.
Firefighters were on the scene of the fire at the hotel, 1824 E. Main St., from 5:05 p.m. to 6:44 p.m.
The fire was knocked down in about 15 minutes, according to fire officials. It was contained to one room.
No injuries were reported, and no dollar amount of damage was yet determined.

Cash reported stolen in the 3200 block of East Main Street.
Tuesday:
Domestic battery reported in the 700 block of Chandler Street.
Residential burglary reported on 2550 North Road in Bismarck.
Wednesday:
Theft of a chain saw and battery charger reported on 3100 North Road in Rossville.
Theft/burglary of cash reported at County Market, 2917 N. Vermilion St.
Attempted home invasion reported in the 300 block of East Harmon Street in Fairmount.
Criminal damage to property reported at Mobil Super Pantry, 610 S. Bowman Ave.
Theft of a blue/silver 10-speed bicycle reported in the 1800 block of Perrysville Avenue.
Dead bolt to a door reported damaged in the 1100 block of Fowler Ave.
Domestic battery reported in the unit block of Fairweight Avenue.
Criminal damage to property reported on Kelly Court in Ridge Farm.
Thursday:
Burglary to a residence reported in the 1200 block of Clarence Street.
Criminal damage to property reported on Alpha Drive.

Wednesday, 3:49 p.m. — At 20 N. Hazel Street involving Daniel E. Owens, 65, of the 2400 block of Batestown Road, and Amber M. Harden, 34, of Cayuga, Ind. Owens was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
