Village board members approved a redevelopment agreement Thursday night with DTI Office Solutions to allow them to acquire the site of the former American War Dads Post 61 at 3 Southgate Court.
Under terms of the redevelopment agreement, the village will pay DTI $15,000 for moving and minor remodeling expenses and convey title to the property in exchange for a 10-year commitment to remain at the property.
Also Thursday, board members approved the payment of $12,490 to Gleisner Engineering of Danville for engineering work on the Coachlight Mobile Home Park sewer project and the payment of $89,997 to Central Illinois Tile Company of Champaign for installation of sewer pipe for the project.
In other action, board members:
ƒÞ Approved the purchase of 15 poinsettias from the South View music department to be used for the Senior Dinner on Dec. 14.
ƒÞ Approved a revision to the motor fuel tax budget to increase it to $85,256. The additional funds will be used cover the increased cost of road salt for this winter.
ƒÞ Approved the payment of $17,834 to Ameren IP to extend electrical service to the cabinet shop being constructed on Southgate Court. The funds will come from the Tax Increment Fund account.
ƒÞ Approved the addition of a streetlight in the 700 block of Kingsdale Street. The village will relocate the streetlight from another location in the village.
ƒÞ Approved the demolition of a house at 113 14th Street that has been condemned.
ƒÞ Requested that citizens buy turkeys to be donated for the Senior Dinner to be on Dec. 14.
ƒÞ Agreed to a reimbursement from Aqua Illinois for water main work completed by village employees. The water work was performed in conjunction with the 14th Street overpass project. Aqua Illinois will pay the village $88,748 for work done.
ƒÞ Learned that the construction extension granted to O¡¦Neil Brothers Construction for the 14th Street overpass project will expire on Dec.1 and that the village will not grant any further extensions.
ƒÞ Learned that the 14th Street overpass project is currently running $401,835 under the proposed estimate for the project.
ƒÞ Approved a highway authority agreement with CDC Oil for undisturbed material left in the ground.
ƒÞ Learned that Police Chief Mike Schull will be retiring on Jan. 1, 2009 after 34 years of service.
ƒÞ Learned that the Senior Dinner will be at noon on Dec. 14 at the Public Works building in Tilton.

The Tilton Village Board will meet at 6 p.m. Dec. 18 at the village hall.
