Roundup — Police investigate man's death

CAYUGA, Ind. —
Police do not suspect foul play in the death of a man discovered this morning.
The Vermillion County Sheriff’s Department received a report of a man found two miles west of Cayuga and just off County Road 225W.
The man, found in a harvested bean field, was pronounced dead at the scene by the coroner.
The deceased was identified at William G. Hayworth, 68, of Newport.
Although the death is not believed suspicious, an investigation into Hayworth’s death is continuing.

Monday:
Medication stolen in the 300 block of Benton Street, Rossville.
Tuesday:
Window damaged at Creative Designs, 630 N. Logan Ave.
Purse stolen in a burglary in the 200 block of Tennessee Avenue.
A man arrested as a non-compliant sex offender in the first block of Bates Drive.
A number of drugs stolen in the 100 block of Harmon Avenue.
Disorderly conduct in the400 block of Grant Street.
Burglary in the first block of Tillman Street.
Forgery reported at Mobil Super Pantry, 1212 N. Bowman Ave.
Tools stolen from an AmerenIP vehicle in the 1500 block of East Voorhees Street.
A man arrested for domestic battery in the 200 block of South Bowman Avenue.
A man arrested for retail theft at County Market, 2 E. Main St.
Wednesday:
A man arrested for battery and obstructing justice in the 200 block of West Main Street, Westville.
Accidents involving tickets or injuries include:
Tuesday, 6:35 p.m. — In the 1600 block of North Vermilion Street involving Janet Denman, 47, of the 1200 block of Lake Ridge Court, and Dulcie Edwards, 24, of Georgetown. Denman was cited for improper lane usage.
Firefighters responded to the following calls:
Tuesday, 11:52 a.m.-12:02 p.m. — An illegal burning at 512 Grant St.
Tuesday, 4:53-5:26 p.m. — An electrical odor reported at 1321 Sheridan St.
