Coalition to sponsor reform meeting

DANVILLE — The East Central Illinois Liberty Coalition will sponsor “Reforming Illinois 101: a citizens primer” at 6 p.m. Saturday in Room 127 of the David S. Palmer Arena, 100 W. Main St.

This event with free pizza is an opportunity for area residents to learn how to make a change in the political system.

Scott Tillman from the Illinois Policy Institute will speak on “Liberty Issues and the Need for Reform.”

E. Wayne Johnson from the University of Illinois will speak about the “put back” amendment, which is a ballot initiative amendment to the Illinois Constitution that would institute term limits, among other changes in state government.

Petitions to sign to get the “put back” amendment on the ballot next November will be available.
