Bismarck sets Halloween hours

BISMARCK The village board set trick or treat hours from 4-8 p.m. Oct. 31.

The board also:

-- Heard from Village President Eleanor White that there will be a used oil collection from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 31 at Catlin High School. The event is sponsored by the Catlin FFA and Keep Vermilion County Beautiful.

-- Heard White remind residents that it is a violation of the village nuisance ordinance to burn garbage or building materials.

-- Learned that court costs for night court in Danville will increase from $60 to $105. Village ordinance violations are heard in night court.

-- Learned that there will be a household hazardous waste collection from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 8 at Hoopeston Area High School.



WHAT’S NEXT

The Bismarck Village Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 18 in the Bismarck United Methodist Church annex.
