DANVILLE — Here’s a look at recent law enforcement calls:
Danville
Tuesday:
A man and a woman arrested for burglary and aggravated battery at Wal-Mart Supercenter, 4101 N. Vermilion St. The man also was charged with obstructing justice.
Burglary in the 900 block of Belton Avenue.
A man arrested for criminal trespassing in the 900 block of Hubbard Lane.
A woman arrested for domestic battery in the first block of South Collett Street.
A man arrested for possession of stolen property at Mach 1, 510 N. Gilbert St.
A woman arrested for battery at McDonald’s, 109 S. Gilbert St.
Wednesday:
Attempted burglary and property damage in the 600 block of North Gilbert Street.
Vermilion County
Tuesday:
A man arrested for domestic battery in the 600 block of South Main Street, Georgetown.
Accidents involving tickets or injuries include:
Tuesday, 12:49 p.m. — At East Voorhees and North Griffin streets involving Aaron McCreary, 19, of Covington, Ind., and Jessica Miles, 30, of Georgetown. McCreary was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
Tuesday, 5:16 p.m. — On Bowman Avenue near Williams Street involving Delores Tomlinson-Hubbard, 52, of the 400 block of Monterey Street, and Richard Gilbert, 64, of Fairmount. Tomlinson-Hubbard was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
Tuesday, 7:34 p.m. — At North Vermilion Street and Shady Lane involving Jackie Ball, 72, of Georgetown, and Jacqueline Chrostowski, 69, of Tilton. Ball was cited for failure to yield.
Tuesday, 8:32 p.m. — At Georgetown Road and Lyons Road involving Christopher Lomax, 16, of Catlin, and Gina George, 53, of Westville. Lomax was cited for failure to yield. George was taken to Provena United Samaritans Medical Center for treatment.
Tuesday, 9:09 p.m. —At County Road 1800 E and County Road 2550N involving Daniel Packard, 71, of Lakeland, Fla., and Douglas Sauers, 47, of Williamsport, Ind. Packard was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and having expired registration.
Firefighters responded to the following calls:
Tuesday, 7:53-8:02 a.m. — A medical call in the first block of Bremer Avenue.
Tuesday, 10:58-11:11 a.m. — A medical call in the 1100 block of North Bowman Avenue.
Tuesday, 12:30-12:53 p.m. — Burned food on a stove caused a call to Mer-Che Manor, 723 Oak St.
Tuesday, 2:18-2:27 p.m. — An alarm malfunction in the 2900 block of North Vermilion Street.
Wednesday, 12:39-12:56 a.m. — A medical call in the first block of Cronkhite Avenue.
Wednesday, 12:47-12:57 a.m. — A medical call in the 1400 block of Eastview Avenue.
Wednesday, 1:18-1:55 a.m. — A garage fire in the 200 block of Tennessee Avenue.
