At Monday night’s Georgetown City Council meeting, Alderman Tom Adair informed the council that the Georgetown Fire Department seeks donations for an electronic public message board.
Adair said the estimated cost of the message board is $20,000. All the money for the message board will be raised through donations. Adair told the council if anyone would like to make a donation to contact Rex Hacquet of the fire department.
Mayor Darrell Acord told the council the fireworks display on July 4 went well. Acord thanked Alderman Kim Shrout for his work in setting up and setting off the fireworks.
