A trial date was set for later this year for the owner of several area grocery stores who is charged with child molestation.
Fountain County Prosecuting Attorney Terry Martin said that during an omnibus hearing in Fountain Circuit Court on Tuesday a pre-trial conference was set for Nov. 13 for Jeffrey C. Clark, 44, of Covington. The trial is set to begin Dec. 2.
Clark is charged with four felony counts of performing deviant sexual conduct on a child younger than 14 years of age. The alleged victim said that between July 30, 2002, and April 29, 2006, Clark touched her in private areas and forced her to touch him. The incidents allegedly happened at Clark’s home and an adjacent barn.
