Police on lookout for missing Indiana woman

STAFF REPORT
Commercial-News

Family believe an elderly Indiana woman who has gone missing may be headed toward this region.

Ninety-three-year-old Esther Risher of rural Linton, Ind., in Greene County has been missing as of Tuesday. The Greene County Sheriff’s Department confirmed Thursday afternoon that officers are still searching for her.

Risher was last seen driving north on U.S. Route 41 in her car, described as a green-colored 1993 Buick sedan.

According to a family member, Risher could be headed to Westville, where she used to live, if she has become confused. Confusion could also lead her to believe family members still live in Danville or Covington, Ind.

Any information regarding Risher’s whereabouts should be called in to the Greene County Sheriff’s Department at (812) 384-441 or the Linton, Ind., Police Department at (812) 847-4411.
