Mary Mattern is valedictorian of the class of 2008 of Attica High School. Courtney Cunningham and Eli Trueblood are co-salutatorians.
Graduation is at 1 p.m. EDT Saturday in the school gymnasium.
Mattern, 17, was vice president of her class all four years, secretary and president of the National Honor Society and captain of the cheerleaders. She was a member of the National Technical Honor Society, Bigs and Littles, band, drama, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Foreign Language Club.
She participated in cross country, volleyball, basketball and track.
She is involved in 4-H.
The daughter of Jereome and Sarah Mattern, she will major in human biology at Indiana University.
Trueblood, 19, is president of the senior class and the Students Against Destructive Decisions and a representative to Point of Youth (Indiana Criminal Justice Institute Youth Forum). He was a member of the student council and the National Honor Soci-ety.
He has participated in football, wrestling and track.
The son of Michael and Elaine Trueblood, he will major in chemistry at Purdue University.
Cunningham, 18, was secretary of the FFA and a member of the band, student council, Foreign Language Club, Bigs and Lit-tles and National Honor Society.
The daughter of Nancy Niccum and Doug Cunningham, she will major in nursing at Vincennes University.
