Police Roundup: Snow plow hits pickup truck

STAFF REPORT
Commercial-News

BISMARCK — A motorist received minor injuries following a collision with a snow plow.

Mark Wright of Williamsport, Ind., was transported by ambulance to Provena United Samaritans Medical Center with minor injuries following the accident just after 7:30 a.m. today southeast of Bismarck.

Capt. Dennis Wood of the Vermilion County Sheriff’s Department said a Newell Township snow plow driven south by Harold Heidrick of Danville stopped for a stop sign on County Road 1930E at the intersection of County Road 2550N.

Heidrick saw nothing coming and pulled into the intersection, colliding with an oncoming 1995 Ford F-150 truck driven by Wright, Wood said. The sun was coming over the horizon at the time, possibly blocking Heidrick’s view.
