Goodbye to a dear friend

DANVILLE — Editor:

Heartland Fair was deeply saddened when it had to say a final goodbye to one of its dealers, Charlotte Bireline.

Charlotte passed away March 29, 2012, after a two-year illness, and we said goodbye to her then. But her booth continued to remain at the Heartland Fair, where even after her death she continued to be one of Heartland Fair’s top sellers.

Charlotte came to us Sept. 1, 2001, where she quickly became a very dear friend, not only to us but to our customers as well. We will never forget how hard she worked to make her booth, Accent Antiques, as well as the Heartland Fair, a success.

She could be found at Heartland Fair on most days where she was talking with customers, helping at the central checkout, adding new items to her booth or planning our next event.

We remember well her ability to convince our customers to buy whatever it was she was trying to sell.

While her booth, Accent Antiques, officially came to an end June 27, and her merchandise is now gone, we will always have our memories, and her spirit belongs to us.

Goodbye for now, dear friend, until we meet again.
