Hearts and darts

The Vermilion County Conservation District Foundation sends hearts to “the following sponsors for the 5th Annual Cheeseburger and Fun event at Kennekuk County Park in August. Proceeds from the event are earmarked for the construction of the Kennekuk Environmental Education Center.

Faith in Action South sends hearts “to Sunset-Urbas Funeral Home for sponsoring our Faith in Action Sunday Ice Cream Social and Volunteer Fair. It was a wonderful event with food, fun, music and fellowship.

“Faith in Action South would like to thank Curves of Georgetown for sponsoring the “Climb the Tower” fundraiser at Forest Glen. Almost 50 women of all ages climbed the observation tower as a testament to their health and fitness and then were treated to a shirt and a meal.

“All of the money raised was donated to Faith in Action South.

“We sincerely appreciate Georgetown Curves and all the women who participated.”

Shirley Butcher of Danville sends hearts “to Peg’s Music Machine. She came to Danville Care Nursing Home to entertain with her accordion music. Thanks, Peg. We all love to be entertained. We need more people like you.”
