Voters in Ward 5 have the opportunity to elect a fine new alderman — Janis Byrne Ostiguy.
Jan is outstandingly prepared to contribute her experience, energy and knowledge of Danville in helping us navigate through some challenging times.
She raised her family in Danville, has been serving residents of the area for years as a nurse practitioner, and is knowledgeable and active in city issues.
I’ve observed over time Jan’s active involvement with city officials, in and out of city council meetings, on issues involving both Ward 5 and the whole city.
Importantly, she “plays well with others,” while firmly and effectively presenting views which are thoughtful and fact based. She’ll bring good, sound judgment to the council.
It is healthy for voters to bring onto our city council excellent new people such as Jan Ostiguy, a lifelong resident who cares deeply about Danville and wants to help it become even better.
On April 9, please join me in voting for “Nurse Jan” Ostiguy for Ward 5 alderman. You’ll be glad you did.
