Time for a change

TILTON — Editor:

“Change is good.” Remember that phrase?

It’s time for a change. Change is good. We need change.

All of these statements were heard over and over again in 2008.

Now, we need to hear them again. This country cannot survive a repeat of the last four years.

Once again, it is time for that silent majority to be heard. This group is retired or semi-retired and have great memories of how this country used to be. Everyone was responsible and didn’t expect the government to control every aspect of their lives.

Also included in this group are voters who put tomorrow’s best interest ahead of today’s demands.

This includes the best interests of our children and grandchildren.

We need to look past the hype and folly of today’s promises. It’s called common sense.

No country can survive paying its bills with borrowed money.

We cannot continue to ignore the constitution of our forefathers.

Once again, let’s hear the phrase, “It is time for a change.”

Then do something about it.

There will be no future without change.
