O’Shaughnessy a leader

NORMAL — Editor:

Tom O’Shaughnessy was the president of the Catlin Board of Education when I was hired to be the school superintendent. I found the leadership of Mr. O’Shaughnessy to be exemplary and inspirational.

Tom was a leader who set the bar high to attain achievement and success. Throughout his 18 years on Catlin’s school board, he has demonstrated that his commitment to public service is second to none.

Tom understands, practices, and even teaches other government officials the leadership skills and government transparency practices that lead to successful outcomes for communities.

The fundraising effort to build an all-weather track at Catlin High School is a shining example of community engagement that Tom initiated and helped organize.

I have worked with numerous elected officials and I place Mr. ’Shaughnessy at the top of the list when considering ethics, integrity, and hard work.

Please consider casting your vote on Nov. 6 for Tom O’Shaughnessy to be your county recorder.
