Having lived in Danville for nearly 30 years I would like to share my thoughts with my former neighbors and friends.
Many of my fellow citizens who voted for Obama now see that we are worse off than before he took office. But in one sense it is not all his fault. I say that all of you who voted for him must share the blame for his dismal record.
How could you expect a man with virtually no managerial experience and a suspect history to be successful as the president?
Soaring rhetoric may be impressive but it does not qualify anyone for the highest office in the land. No Fortune 500 company would have hired him as a CEO because he has no understanding of how the business world works. He thinks that taxing the rich is the answer. However, you could confiscate all the wealth of the so-called 2 percent and we would still have a growing national debt. Yet many of you saw fit to elevate him to the highest office in the land.
And now, less than four years later, he has increased our national debt by 60 percent and in spite of his apology tour to Muslim countries, America is less respected by the world than ever before. Sure, Osama bin Laden is dead but so is one of our diplomats and two of our Navy Seals. Obviously, Muslims are not too impressed with soaring rhetoric and apologies.
But it is not too late to correct this tragic error in judgment. This time go to the polls and do the right thing.
