Amy Moody of Danville sends hearts “to the Danville Lowe’s. On May 3, they kept their store open late for me. The water line to my icemaker had broken and it made quite the wet mess in my basement. This all happened around 8:30 p.m. Once I finally made it up to Lowe’s to get my supplies, they were locking up. They said we close at 9, it was about 5 minutes after.
“The manager asked what my problem was, so I explained. He didn’t think twice about helping me.
“He not only kept the store open, he helped me get what I needed and was very helpful. Not too many places would do that.
“Good customer service is hard to come by, so I wanted to share my wonderful experience. Thank you, Lowe’s, for helping this single mom out. You now have a lifelong customer!”
Bill and Bernice Grubb of Covington, Ind., send hearts “to everyone who sent a card or made a phone call in honor of our 70th wedding anniversary. Also, a special thanks to our children and grandchildren for the wonderful dinner celebration.
Mary Claypool of Danville celebrated her 90th birthday April 23. She sends hearts to “everybody for all the many, many cards and flowers.
“And I want to thank all my children for their goodness to me and all my friends and neighbors.”
Alice Stonebraker of Covington, Ind., sends hearts “to each and every person who made my benefit a huge success. Words cannot express how grateful I am that each of you took the time to help me.
“I tried to speak to everyone, however, because it was such an emotional night I may or may not of been able to. If I didn’t get to I apologize”
“Thank you to each person who put the benefit together and helped before, during, and after. All your hard work helped everything come together.
“Thank you to my children, my family, my Covington VFW family, my Beef House family, all of my co-workers, the band and to all my many wonderful friends.
“Thank you to all the individuals and businesses who donated gift baskets, gift certificates, miscellaneous items, free-will donations, baked goods and/or sold raffle tickets.
“I want to thank all you parents who allowed your children to come. Everyone knows how much I love kids and they really made the night that much easier for me. Thank you, very much, Brandi for letting Miya stay with me during the benefit.
“I was able to send out some thank you notes, however, I’m afraid I may of not signed some and/or written a little note. Unfortunately, having chemo brain doesn’t help in those matters. If you received one I do apologize and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. So for anyone I missed I’m sending this big thank you out.
