Make criminals pay

Commercial-News

INDIANOLA — Editor:

Once again I am disgusted with the way decent people are treated and criminals are given so many rights.

Now I know this is the day of “politically correct,” which I also can do without. A crime when you catch someone isn’t an “alleged crime.” It is a crime and should be treated as one.

Take those teenagers at Tuscola who knocked over those grave stones, for example. If they had the strength to knock them over, then I say they have the muscles to sit them back up. If I were the law enforcement, I would give a concrete worker or mason an overseer’s job and make those two teenagers do the work.

If we would make these vandals do some back-breaking work and make them work out the cost in community services, maybe the next bunch of kids that take it on themselves to do crime would think twice before they decide to upset tombstones.

Let justice return.
