Wall is a good judge

The Commercial-News

---- — Wall is a good judge

Editor:

I ask that you vote for Judge Karen Wall in the Democrat primary election. In 2010, I and the other Circuit Court Judges selected Karen from more than 20 applicants, to serve as an associate judge for Vermilion County. In the years since, I have worked with Judge Wall and I know her to be knowledgeable, hard working and conscientious. She recently received the highest rating of all the candidates when the Illinois State Bar Association asked lawyers to rate their qualifications to be judge.

I am retired after practicing law for 34 years, the last 15 years as a circuit court Judge. I know the qualifications of a good judge, and Karen possesses those qualities. In addition to legal knowledge and experience, one of the most important qualities of a good judge is an even temperament. Judge Wall demonstrates on a daily basis that she possesses a good judicial temperament.

Judge Wall treats the parties and lawyers who appear in her court with courtesy and respect. She has managed high volume caseloads in a timely manner and rendered judgment in difficult and complicated cases. She is the only candidate for circuit court judge who already has judicial experience. Please give your vote for circuit court judge to Judge Karen Wall in the Democrat primary on March 18. Thank you for your consideration.
