Here are some of the good things readers noticed around the area recently:
The We Can Do Anything Club from Danville High School send hearts to “Twisted Sisters of Rossville for donating gently used prom dresses for our young ladies to wear to their club prom; Imagine Salon of Tilton for volunteering their time and talents by doing our young ladies’ hair and makeup for their club prom; and the Elks Club of Danville for its generous monetary donation to our club.
“Also, hearts to the Knights of Columbus in Danville for their generous monetary donation to our club and to the Kiwanis Golden K of Danville for their generous monetary donation.
“We would not be able to have such a wonderful club for our students in special education if it weren’t for all the great organizations and businesses and their donations. We appreciate you!
Linda Spicer of Georgetown sends hearts to “NewWave Communications for what it had done for my mother who lives in Covington, Ind.
“She was watching TV and all of a sudden it went out. It was a new TV. She called NewWave, and the technician came and checked her TV. He told her that it wasn’t her TV. So he checked her cable box and found out that someone cut her cable wire. He fixed it.
“After he fixed it, he went back and told her her cable wire was cut. My mother thanked him for fixing it for her. She is really pleased with them. So she wanted me to write and tell them, ‘Thank you’ for doing that for her.
“Also, I want to send hearts to the Danville Post Office and the mail carriers for what they have done for our Georgetown Post Office and our mail carriers. They went out of their way to help.
“They were polite, courteous and fun to talk to. Thank you, again, for your help. Our mail carriers and our post office appreciated it. God bless them all.”
