On Dec. 10, CNBC featured two financial analysts discussing various states and their taxing bodies. They stated that Illinois has 7,000 taxing bodies. Pennsylvania was second with 5,000 taxing bodies. The conversation continued by pointing out Illinois is the worst state for taxing bodies and the worst state for managing the income from taxes.
It’s hard to say how many citizens and business people in and out of Illinois heard this interview and message. What’s even worse, the financial disgrace of mismanagement and legislative incompetence continues.
However, at the next election, we again will see bright, shining faces with their outlandish statements promising to cure the problem.
