Turner a good choice
It is with much respect for this candidate that I recommend Chad Turner, who is running for the Vermilion County Board’s District 5 seat. I have known Chad, professionally and personally, for the last 14 years. Chad is a lifelong resident of Vermilion County who has lived in the Hilary area and is a graduate of Oakwood schools. He has been a respected member of the Danville Police Department for 19 years, with the last three as school resource officer at South View Middle School. He has served as a Danville Township Trustee for four years and on the Kickapoo Fire Protection District Board for the last seven years.
I first met Chad when our children were in grade school. He volunteered his time to be their soccer coach. Even though Chad’s professional career as a police officer is taxing and time-consuming, he has always valued the importance of volunteering and service in our community. He is an insightful and well-spoken individual, who will research issues and advocate for the concerns of his district.
As a former Vermilion County board member myself, I know full well how important it is to study the issues and voice a well-researched opinion to advance the needs and concerns of the citizens he represents. I recommend citizens in District 5 cast their vote for Chad Turner. Take the time to talk to him, ask him questions, share your concerns — I have no doubt he will be as generous in his time for each of you as he has been over the last 20 years as a community volunteer in Vermilion County.
