Global warming is hot air

The Commercial-News

---- — Global warming is hot air

Since the early ‘80s, we’ve been threatened with tall tales about global warming. To everyone who embraces it, where is it? We could use some global warming right now! This has been a very cold winter.

So how can we have global warming but still have a cold winter? None of this talk about global warming causing the polar vortex to drop. I came from the country and was taught at an early age to spot and avoid the waste products spewed about the pasture by bulls. I was told if it looks like it and smells like it to leave it alone! Global warming causing the polar vortex to drop smells like it. In fact, global warming causing the polar vortex to drop is akin to saying you can fry eggs in the refrigerator because the stove is in the same room.

I’m sure everyone recalls Y2K. In December 1999, there were lots of prophesying as to what was going to happen on Jan. 1, 2000. Turns out, a title to one of Shakespear’s plays summed Y2K up thoroughly — “Much Ado About Nothing.”

Replace global warming with Y2K and it’s suddenly put into perspective. A bunch of hype and hot air, belched out by people who haven’t a clue as to what they’re talking about. Being dominated by scam artists, like Al Gore.

I wonder if those who embrace global warming, each December, fret over Y2K? Well, do you, you who believe in global warming?
