Hearts & darts

Here are some of the good things readers noticed around the area recently:

Steve and Brenda Copsy of Olivet send hearts to “the staff of Presence United Medical Center’s staff on 3 West. Steve was in the hospital three days (recently) and we got the most excellent care we have ever received anywhere. We received this all the way from the emergency room to the third floor to the staff who did all the testing.

“Steve has been in and out of hospitals for the last 18 years and have never received such excellent care than we did here at our own hospital. Brenda was in the hospital in April also and she received the same kind of care. They do listen to you when you tell then something and will help you through what you need.

“These people see us at our worst time. We are hurting, sick and don’t want to be there, but they still understand. The doctors, physicians’ assistants and nurses, the CNAs and even the maintenance men all were great.

“It is just hard to say thanks to just one or two when everybody did such a excellent job. They were the most caring people, not just doing their jobs but going beyond. We just want to say thanks. If you have never been elsewhere you might not know what we have right here in Danville. We always hear all the bad things but never the good things. Thanks again.”

The Vermilion County State’s Attorney’s Victim Assistance Program sends hearts “to all the wonderful people of Vermilion County who supported the 19th annual Victim Assistance Golf Outing at Turtle Run Golf and Banquet Center on July 26 .

“Our sincere thanks to our corporate sponsors: Randall J. Brinegar, Vermilion County State’s Attorney; Jorgenson Electric Inc.; Aqua Illinois; Pepsi; and Commercial Software Solutions.
