Arena visitor can’t find water to drink

Commercial-News

Editor:

I attended the recent Jason Aldean concert at the David S. Palmer Arena and was disappointed with the venue. The show was great and both artists put on one heck of a show.

My problem is with the management of the venue. I was in the general admission area, which is standing room only.

It wasn’t exactly cool in the building, which is to be expected with that many people. However, when I went to the concession area at the back of the section and asked for a water, I was met with a look of confusion. It seems that this concession area only serves beer.

So in the hottest part of the building, where there are no seats, if you want any kind of drink without missing the show and going to the second level you have to drink beer. I think this is ridiculous.

I called the arena today to express my concern to the management at the venue. The man that I spoke to listened to my concerns and simply said “OK.” No offer of apology, no reasoning for only serving alcohol, nothing.

I think the people in charge there need to learn a few things about how to run their business.

I don’t know what kind of people they are trying to attract with this type of service but it certainly doesn’t seem like they want this to be a family-friendly environment. I thought the community might want to know how the arena treats its

customers.
