Library plans reading club

HOOPESTON — Area children from preschool to sixth grade are invited to participate in four weeks of free programs starting June 11 at the Hoopeston Public Library, 110 N. Fourth St.

A story and activity time will begin at 10:30 a.m. June 11 and June 25. Puppet Fun will take place at 10:30 a.m. June 17. The movie “Cats and Dogs” will be shown at 2 p.m. June 19 and feature free popcorn and soft drinks. The movie “Air Bud” will be shown at 2 p.m. June 30.

The Paws to Read Summer Reading Program runs July 7-28 and will feature a variety of animal-themed programs. For more information, call the library at 283-6711.
