Spring days usually treat people with bright colors of news flowers and the bright green of grass ... and the views of winter’s accumulated debris.
Area residents will have a chance Saturday to help give Danville a better look.
Keep Vermilion County Beautiful will sponsor its annual Great American Cleanup with two projects Saturday, both beginning at 9 a.m.
Volunteers can meet at the Douglas Discover Garden near Douglas Park to help prepare that site for the growing season.
Others will gather at the Danville Public Library before moving through the downtown area to pick up and plant.
Volunteers are asked to bring their own gloves and hand tools. Lunch will be provided.
The efforts the volunteers and Keep Vermilion County Beautiful put in always pay off with a better-looking community.
So whether you can stay for only an hour and can spend the whole day until 3 p.m., step up help Saturday make the community a better — and more beautiful — place.
